I’m a street sketcher. I like wandering around, drawing whatever catches my eye. Because of this, I rarely draw from photos. But once in a while I get the opportunity to draw something I can’t see on the streets of Quebec City.
Recently I was asked by a guy named Jim to draw his grandmother’s house. He sent me several photos of the house and I was tasked with doing an 8×10 portrait of it. Here are the results. I dropped a rough matt over it so I could show him what it looked like before I packaged it up for shipment. He seemed pleased. I hope you like it as well.
