Is This Thing On?

I’m hoping this blog is finally working again.  I think my blog got COVID or something because several things broke all at once.  People could access what was there (I think), but I couldn’t post.  I think I’ve gotten things straightened out.

Our “spring” took about two days and we went from frost warnings and wearing coats to a heat wave.  We’re now wearing shorts and sweating a lot.  Go figure.  We’ve been doing work outside, trying to fix things that broke during winter, and encouraging trees and other plants to produce some leaves.  It’s sort of weird to be hitting the mid-80s and not have the trees in full leaf yet.

Mostly, though, this is a test of my blog with fingers crossed that it’s working again.  I’ll post a few pages from my “try this” sketchbook just to give you something to look at.  Hope you can see it (grin)

  1. Post visible! 😉 Good to see you back! (I’m having blog problems, too… I can’t comment on any Blogger blog from any browser — even on my own blog! I can only do it on my phone.) Wow, straight from winter to summer!? I’m happy that it’s really feeling like spring at last!

    • Glad you can see it 🙂 A few weeks ago Kate had trouble posting a comment on my website too. Strange the the problem doesn’t exist on your phone. Sounds like the problem is local to your computer and not on Blogger.

Yeah, this “too cold to go outside” flipping to “geez, it’s hot” is a bit hard to take. We’re having July weather right now. They say it’s supposed to cool down on the weekend. After complaining all winter, though, I have a hard time complaining about it being hot 🙂

    • The idea came from the several times I talked about doing a bunch of sketches and then throwing them away. I decided that was sort of silly so I created two “try this” sketchbooks. One is a 10×7 book that can handle watercolor and the other is a 9×12 general sketchbook. So far that’s working out very well.
